Serving as your alderman has been one of the greatest privileges. Every decision I make is guided by one simple question: What is best for the residents of La Vergne?
My family's story is rooted here. My husband purchased his first home in La Vergne in 2007, and after we married, we made it our first home together. In 2017, we built our forever home in the South Waldron community, where we are raising our two daughters. Over the past several years, our roots have grown even deeper, as my husband’s parents chose to relocate to the area to be closer to our family. La Vergne isn't simply where I serve—it's where our family has chosen to build its future.
Professionally, I have spent more than a decade serving Rutherford County as a nurse practitioner. Every day, I have the privilege of caring for patients and families, many of whom call La Vergne home. My career has taught me to listen carefully, solve complex problems, make thoughtful decisions, and advocate for those who need a voice—skills I bring with me to City Hall.
Education has always been important to me. I earned bachelor's degrees in Animal Science and Nursing from Penn State University before completing my Master of Science in Nursing at Tennessee State University.
Beyond my work here at home, I have also been blessed to serve through international medical missions in Cambodia, India, Cuba, and Africa. These experiences reinforced the importance of compassion, planning, collaboration, and serving others with integrity.
Why I Serve
When I first ran for alderman, I believed La Vergne deserved thoughtful leadership, responsible growth, and a stronger voice for residents. Those values continue to guide my service today.
As our city grows, I remain committed to planning responsibly, improving infrastructure, supporting our neighborhoods, and ensuring residents have a meaningful voice in the decisions that shape our future. I believe local government works best when it is transparent, accessible, and focused on serving the people.
Looking Ahead
La Vergne is a community with tremendous opportunity. Together, we can continue building a city that families are proud to call home—a city with strong neighborhoods, quality services, responsible development, and a high quality of life for generations to come.
I believe economic development should enhance our quality of life—not define it. Growth should be thoughtfully planned to preserve the character of our neighborhoods while supporting the infrastructure, parks, public safety, and amenities that make La Vergne a place families are proud to call home.
